🔥 1977 Greco SG 600 – Raw, Road-Ready Japanese Tone Machine! 🔥
Looking for that perfect blend of vintage vibe, lightning-fast playability, and serious rock ‘n’ roll attitude without breaking the bank? This 1977 Greco SG 600 delivers in spades.
Finished in classic Cherry Red, this Japanese masterpiece captures the aggressive, no-nonsense spirit of the Gibson SG but with that legendary 1970s Greco build quality that still turns heads today. Lightweight, resonant, and built like a tank, this SG 600 is a player’s guitar through and through.
Tone & Playability:
• Dual U-1000 PAF style humbuckers that growl with authority – thick, punchy mids, singing highs, and tight low-end that’s perfect for classic rock, blues, hard rock, and even modern high-gain tones.
• Slim, fast neck profile that feels great in the hand and makes lead work effortless.
• Professionally set up for optimal playability – low action, smooth fretwork, and perfect intonation right out of the box. It plays like a dream and stays in tune.
Condition – Honest & Detailed: This is a moderate player-grade example with real road history that gives it serious character.
• Dense surface scratches and swirl marks across the body and back – exactly what you expect from a 49-year-old guitar that’s actually been played.
• A few small chips in the finish (typical for these thin finishes).
• One visible finish crack on the bottom edge of the body, professionally stabilized and filled with super glue for long-term structural integrity of the finish. It’s solid, doesn’t affect playability or tone, and is common on guitars of this era.
Despite the honest battle scars, the guitar remains structurally excellent, fully functional, and looks killer on stage or in the studio. The wear gives it that authentic vintage mojo many players chase.
Original spec highlights:
• Mahogany body and neck
• Rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlays
• Greco-branded hardware
• Period-correct tuners and bridge
Whether you’re a serious collector hunting Japanese Greco gems or a gigging musician who wants a tone monster that won’t make you cry if it gets another battle scar, this 1977 SG 600 is ready to rock.
Priced to move for a fast, honest sale. Serious inquiries only – this one won’t last long.

Our Guarantee
We stand behind every guitar we sell. “Good enough” is never good enough. Every instrument is inspected, set up, and tested by multiple people immediately before shipping. We deliver the highest standard of quality and have built a reputation as a three-time NAMM Top 100 Dealer since 2009. The Dude Abides.
Neck & Setup - (unless otherwise noted)
- Neck is perfectly straight with no truss-rod issues.
- Intonation is spot-on.
- Professionally set up with low action and new American-made strings.
- All frets are dressed, leveled, crowned (if needed), and all frets on all guitars are polished to shine like new with no divots.
Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small family owned and run business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time, money and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling, returns without restocking fees or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
