This thing is pure road-worn sex appeal: that classic Three-Tone Sunburst nitro finish has aged like fine whiskey, with just the right amount of checking, tiny battle scars, and that “I’ve played every smoky bar from Tokyo to Texas” swagger. It’s not beat-up… it’s perfectly seasoned. Mojo for days, baby.


Slip it on and WHOA — light & ULTRA resonant alder body that sings unplugged, a silky oval-C hard maple neck that feels like it was carved just for your hand, and a slab of the darkest, tightest rosewood you’ve ever seen capping it off (Indian rosewood vibes for sure). This 1982 Fender Japan JV Precision Bass PB62-98 is a high-end reissue featuring an alder body, maple neck, and a rosewood fretboard with a 7 1/4" radius. Its key specs include a 34-inch scale length, nitro lacquer finish, vintage-style reverse tuners, a 1.625-inch nut, a 4-ply tortoise pickguard, and USA-made Fullerton-era pickups with US-made electronics. It also has spiral (threaded) bridge saddles.

It has just been professionally set up deep cleaned and detailed. All guitars will arrive looking and playing great. The frets have been dressed/polished and the fingerboard was cleaned. (Unfinished Rosewood and Ebony boards get treated with Fret Doctor - a proprietary all natural oil that is the best on the market) It was professionally set up and has brand new strings, the action was adjusted, the intonation is dialed in and it plays excellent. All the electronics work as they should.
