🔥 1982 Greco EG 500 – Battle-Tested Tone Beast with INSANE Mojo! 🔥
Looking for a guitar that’s lived a thousand gigs, earned every scar, and still delivers pure rock ’n’ roll soul? This 1982 Greco EG 500 isn’t some pristine collector queen sitting on a shelf — this is a road-worn warrior dripping with character, history, and that unteachable, magical Mojo that only comes from decades of real play.
The Look – Wabi-Sabi Perfection
This single-cut beauty wears its battle scars like badges of honor. Sporting that classic late-’70s/early-’80s Les Paul Custom body shape, and a maple top that’s been loved hard. Plenty of honest wear and tear — dings, dents, buckle rash, and forearm wear that tell the story of countless nights on stage and in the studio. No fake relic’ing here — this is the genuine article. The finish has that perfect patina that makes cheap new guitars look sterile by comparison. It looks like it’s been to war… and won.
The Feel & Setup – Dialed to Kill
Professionally set up and dialed in by a skilled tech for optimal tone and playability. Low, fast action with zero buzz. Frets are dressed and polished, neck is straight, and everything feels broken-in exactly right. The chunky yet comfortable ’80s neck profile locks into your hand like it was custom carved for you. This thing plays like a dream — buttery, responsive, and inspiring.
The Tone – Pure Magic
Loaded with those punchy Greco humbuckers that deliver everything from fat, creamy leads to snarling, articulate rhythm tones. Plug it in and you instantly get:
• Thick, singing sustain
• That signature Japanese “honky-quack” midrange bite that cuts through a band mix
• Warm, woody cleans that sparkle
• Ballsy, harmonically rich overdrive when you crank it
It’s got the weight, resonance, and open feel of the best vintage Les Pauls without the price tag or fragility. This guitar doesn’t just sound good — it feels alive.
Why This One Rules
• 1982 Super Real era — peak Japanese craftsmanship
• Solid construction that’s survived 40+ years of abuse
• Crazy amounts of Mojo — you’ll feel it the second you pick it up
• Professionally setup and ready to gig tonight
This isn’t a guitar you buy to stare at. This is a guitar you buy to play. To write riffs on. To chase tones at 2 a.m. To take on tour and make memories with.
Serious players only. If you want a guitar with soul, personality, and the kind of vibe that makes other players stop and ask “what the hell is that?”, this 1982 Greco EG 500 is calling your name.
DM for details, price, shipping, or to arrange a video demo. Don’t sleep on this one — guitars with this much character and history don’t come around every day.

Our Guarantee
We stand behind every guitar we sell. “Good enough” is never good enough. Every instrument is inspected, set up, and tested by multiple people immediately before shipping. We deliver the highest standard of quality and have built a reputation as a three-time NAMM Top 100 Dealer since 2009. The Dude Abides.
Neck & Setup - (unless otherwise noted)
- Neck is perfectly straight with no truss-rod issues.
- Intonation is spot-on.
- Professionally set up with low action and new American-made strings.
- All frets are dressed, leveled, crowned (if needed), and all frets on all guitars are polished to shine like new with no divots.
Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small family owned and run business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time, money and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
Payment, Shipping & International Duties
- All items can be shipped internationally. Buyer is fully responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees.
- We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Affirm, and other major payment methods.
