Up for sale at The Guitar Dude we have this sweet and nice vintage Squier Stratocaster. It feels and looks like a '62 Strat reissue or a ST-62 specifically. These JV serial, made in Japan builds are a veritable collectors choice when it comes to the Fender/Squier legacy and display a level of build quality and attention to detail we don't often see in current entry level pieces. This piece is a remarkably well made instrument that's closely modeled after an early '60s Strat, replete with appointments like a well grained, one piece maple neck, rosewood slab-board, lightweight, contoured Alder body, and classic hardware. The tonality is pure Strat, with plenty spank and quack, and a warm, woody tone in the neck and middle position. The guitar sets up to a tee and plugged in she belies her "student model" designation and delivers pro level playability and performance with a charming and real deal essence about her. Apart from the new frets there are no mods or alterations, and this sweetheart has led a charmed life with only minor handling marks, nothing nasty, and no issues. Here's a chance to get up close and personal with a truly great guitar that will make you wonder why more pros don't just go for a Squier, Jeff Healey, the great Strato-Master loved these guitars and in his hands their performance was undeniable and truly stratospheric. A great guitar to add to a collection, or just a perfectly awesome Strat to make your main squeeze, this is a guitar that might just ride shotgun with you....she's that good.
