This one’s a candy-licious beauty! Check out this 1990 Fender Japan ST57-65 dressed head-to-toe in that gorgeous Old Candy Red finish. Built during the absolute peak of Fender Japan’s golden era, this ’65-style Strat captures all the snap, chime, and vocal personality of the classics with the legendary build quality and consistency the Japanese shops were famous for.
The finish still looks killer — rich, vibrant, and full of that deep, glimmering sheen that only a real metallic lacquer can bring. Under the lights it glows like a piece of rock history ready for its next chapter.

Super excellent for a 36-year-old guitar. The body and neck are clean with only super light, tasteful playwear. There’s one noticeable ding on the inside of the top cutaway (see pics), otherwise this Strat is remarkably well-preserved. No major scratches, no cracks, no repairs — just honest, light aging that adds character without hurting the vibe.

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
