🔥 1993 Fender Japan ST72-58 ’72 Reissue Stratocaster – Olympic White 🔥
“Vintage ’72 Vibes with Bulletproof Japanese Build Quality”
Ready to crank out those fat, quacky, singing Strat tones that defined the 70s? This circa 1993 Fender Japan ST72-58 in stunning Olympic White is a killer example of why MIJ Strats from this era have such a devoted following.
Built during the golden period of Fender Japan, when FujiGen was in charge of production. This guitar nails the big-headstock ’72 Strat look and feel with the legendary consistency and playability the Japanese factories were known for. Olympic White finish that still pops beautifully after 30+ years — bright, clean, and full of that classic Fender sparkle.
Condition:
Excellent overall for its age. The body and neck are clean with light, honest playwear that gives it soul without looking beat up. There’s a small cigarette burn on the top face of the headstock (a classic battle scar that adds rock ‘n’ roll character) and two minor areas of discoloration on the back where stickers were previously removed. No major dings, cracks, or repairs. The finish remains glossy and vibrant, and everything is original and solid. This is a player’s guitar that’s been loved and well-maintained.
Professionally Setup & Ready to Rock:
Fresh pro setup with low, comfortable action, perfect intonation, and dialed-in electronics for maximum tone and playability. It feels fast, responsive, and inspiring right out of the case — stays in tune and rings with that signature Strat chime and sustain.
Tone & Playability:
Loaded with the classic three single-coil pickups that made these ’72 reissues famous: bright, glassy cleans, cutting rhythm tones, and that creamy, vocal lead voice when you push an amp. The big CBS-era headstock, comfortable C-shaped neck, and resonant body deliver authentic 70s Strat character with modern reliability. Whether you’re channeling Hendrix, SRV, or modern indie/rock tones, this guitar delivers the goods with authority and nuance.
Key Specs:
• Olympic White finish
• Basswood body
• Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard (7.25 Radius)
• Vintage-style tremolo
• Period-correct tuners and hardware
These 90s Fender Japan ’72 reissues are becoming increasingly sought-after as players discover just how good they are — often rivaling or beating newer USA models in feel and tone while costing a fraction of the price.
Priced fairly for its condition, vibe, and playability. Serious buyers only. Includes original or upgraded gig bag/case. Hit me up with any questions or to set up a play-through — this one won’t hang around long.

Our Guarantee
We stand behind every guitar we sell. “Good enough” is never good enough. Every instrument is inspected, set up, and tested by multiple people immediately before shipping. We deliver the highest standard of quality and have built a reputation as a three-time NAMM Top 100 Dealer since 2009. The Dude Abides.
Neck & Setup - (unless otherwise noted)
- Neck is perfectly straight with no truss-rod issues.
- Intonation is spot-on.
- Professionally set up with low action and new American-made strings.
- All frets are dressed, leveled, crowned (if needed), and all frets on all guitars are polished to shine like new with no divots.
Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small family owned and run business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time, money and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
Payment, Shipping & International Duties
- All items can be shipped internationally. Buyer is fully responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees.
- We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Affirm, and other major payment methods.
