🔥 Grunge Era Fender Japan ST-62 - ’62 Stratocaster – Vintage Candy Red Rocket! 🔥
Craving that classic 1962 Strat sparkle, snap, and soul with real, light road-worn character? This 1993 Fender ST-62 in gorgeous Old Candy Red is a killer vintage reissue that nails the early-60s vibe without the early-60s price tag.
This beauty rocks an alder body finished in that rich, vibrant Old Candy Red finish that has mellowed beautifully over the decades. The maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style frets, and period-correct details (including the small headstock, spaghetti logo, and aged plastic parts) deliver pure ’62 authenticity. Lightweight, balanced, and instantly comfortable — this is the kind of Strat that makes you want to play all night.
Tone & Playability: Equipped with the classic trio of vintage-voiced single-coil pickups that made Strats legendary. You get glassy cleans that chime and sparkle, quacky in-between positions, and that signature Strat bite and growl when you push the amp. It’s been perfectly set up and professionally dialed in for optimal tone and playability — smooth low action, perfect intonation, and responsive feel that inspires confidence whether you’re playing Hendrix-style leads, SRV crunch, or modern indie textures.
Condition: Honest, played-in example with real character. It shows a few dings, dents, and light surface wear (as shown in the pictures) consistent with its 30+ years of age, but nothing structural or tone-killing. The finish still pops, the neck is straight, and overall it remains in very nice shape for a guitar from this era. This is the kind of honest wear that gives it soul without compromising playability or looks.
Comes with its original Fender gig bag.
If you’ve been searching for a real-deal early-90s Fender ’62 reissue that looks lived-in, sounds incredible, and plays like a dream — this ST-62 is a fantastic find. It combines vintage tone and aesthetics with the reliability of a well-maintained 90s instrument.
Don’t miss out — these early reissues with the right patina are getting harder to find.

Neck & Setup - (unless otherwise noted)
- Neck is perfectly straight with no truss-rod issues.
- Intonation is spot-on.
- Professionally set up with low action and new American-made strings.
- All frets are dressed, leveled, crowned (if needed), and all frets on all guitars are polished to shine like new with no divots.
Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small family owned and run business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time, money and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling, returns without restocking fees or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
