🔥 1999 Gibson Les Paul Standard – Heritage Cherry Sunburst Yamano Export w Tasty Flamage🔥
Here’s a true late-’90s classic with serious pedigree. This 1999 Gibson Les Paul Standard in rich Heritage Cherry Sunburst was originally exported to Yamano Music in Japan — the highly regarded Japanese distributor known for receiving some of the nicest examples Gibson produced during that era.
The slightly figured hard maple top shows beautiful depth and warmth in the Heritage Cherry Sunburst, with the color still vibrant and the nitrocellulose finish developing that desirable soft glow only time can create. The mahogany body and carved maple top deliver the thick, resonant Les Paul voice players chase, while the set mahogany neck feels solid and familiar in the hand.
Condition is excellent for its age. There is awesome weather checking of the nitro finish. There are a few light scratches on the back, but the guitar presents very clean overall. On the face of the headstock you’ll notice a subtle, soft cloudiness in the finish — a classic and very common characteristic of late-’90s Gibson nitro where tiny air pockets settled under the clear coat. It gives the headstock a gentle, aged character that many players actually prefer, as it instantly signals a genuine period instrument rather than a modern reissue.
All original and loaded with the highly regarded Gibson 490R in the neck and hotter 498T in the bridge. These pickups deliver the classic Les Paul combination of warm, vocal neck tones and singing, harmonically rich bridge bite that cleans up beautifully with the volume controls. Professionally set up and dialed in for optimal tone and playability — low action, smooth frets, and precise intonation make this one ready to plug in and enjoy immediately.
A well-preserved 1999 Les Paul Standard with desirable Yamano provenance, original 490/498 pickups, honest vintage character, and excellent playability. These don’t come around every day in this condition.Yamano-selected quality. Tons of soul. This isn’t a safe queen — it’s a tone monster with provenance that’s ready for its next chapter of making music.
Serious players and collectors only. If you want a Les Paul that already feels like an old friend, plays like a dream, and carries that special Yamano pedigree, this is the one.

Neck & Setup - (unless otherwise noted)
- Neck is perfectly straight with no truss-rod issues.
- Intonation is spot-on.
- Professionally set up with low action and new American-made strings.
- All frets are dressed, leveled, crowned (if needed), and all frets on all guitars are polished to shine like new with no divots.
Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
