- Custom humbuckers for subterranean tone
- Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, for the look of a well-aged classic
- It is in Excellent Pre Owned Condition. It has some scratches on the pickguard & some very light marks from a wall hangar around the headstock, you can see where the arm rested
Short-scale comfort and tone
The short-scale length of the Gibson SG Bass Faded's neck makes it easier to navigate the fretboard and is perfect for guitar players moonlighting on bass and players with smaller hands. But did you know that the scale length of a guitar or bass has a direct impact on its tone? The harmonics your bass guitar generates are spaced along the strings, based on the length of the strings. Shorter strings mean the harmonics are packed in tighter, giving any note you play more harmonic richness than a longer scale would. Just plug the Gibson SG Bass Faded into your bass amp, and you'll see what we mean as notes come alive and cut through the mix without becoming overbearing.
Custom humbuckers for subterranean tone
Whether you play rock, jazz, country, or metal, you're going to love the sound of the Gibson SG Bass Faded. That's because it sports a pair of Gibson USA's amazing TB+ humbucking pickups. Driven by premium ceramic magnets, the TB+ and TB Mini pickups give you the perfect blend of punch and clarity. And with individual volume and tone controls, the Gibson SG Bass Faded lets you dial in a wide range of killer tones.
Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, for the look of a well-aged classic
Gibson's SG Bass Faded wears a gorgeous nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Nitro finishes (a standard back in the day) are significantly thinner than today's polyurethane finishes, allowing the guitar to "breathe." Nitro finishes not only look vintage-y wonderful, they also enhance the instrument's tonal qualities. The SG Bass Faded has the look and feel of a well-aged classic.
Gibson SG Bass Faded Solidbody Electric Bass Guitar Features:
- Short-scale bass with big, humbucking tone
- Mahogany body and neck give you a warm, rich tone
- Comfortable SG-style body
- Shorter-scale (30") neck is easy to play, comfortable for beginners, and enhances tone
- Chrome 3-point bridge and Grover Shamrock tuners for tuning stability
- Hardshell case included to protect your bass
The Gibson SG Bass Faded is a fast-playing, fat-sounding, short-scale bass!

- Neck is perfectly straight with no truss-rod issues.
- Intonation is spot-on.
- Professionally set up with low action and new American-made strings.
- All frets are dressed, leveled, crowned (if needed), and all frets on all guitars are polished to shine like new with no divots.
Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
