🔥 Vintage Mojo Monster: 1983 Tokai Love Rock LS-100 – All Original with Killer Flame Top! 🔥

Step back into the golden era of Japanese guitar craftsmanship with this all-original 1983 Tokai Love Rock LS-100. A true homage to the "Golden Era" of late 50's Gibson's, Tokai’s “Love Rock” series was built to rival the best Les Pauls of the day — and this one delivers big time with authentic ’80s character, with a real 50's vibe, stunning visuals, and that addictive vintage tone.

The body features a beautiful SICK flame maple top that explodes with rich, chatoyant figuring under a deep, vibrant Heritage Cherry Sunburst (often called “Summers” finish in collector circles). The nitrocellulose lacquer has aged gracefully over 40+ years, giving it that warm, checked patina that only time can provide. It’s a head-turner — the kind of top that catches the light from across the room and screams premium quality.

Yes, this guitar has lived. It carries real vintage mojo with honest battle scars: typical play wear including buckle wear on the back, dings, dents, and scratches that tell the story of nights on stage and in the studio. There’s a touched-up ding on the front side of the headstock. These aren’t flaws — they’re badges of honor that add soul and character. Overall, it’s in nice shape for a 43-year-old instrument: solid, structurally perfect, and far from a beater.

Under the hood (or rather, under that gorgeous top), it houses a pair of DeMario PAF-style pickups — the real deal for that classic, articulate humbucker voice. These pickups are the heart and soul of this guitar. Plug in and prepare to be transported:

•  The neck pickup delivers buttery-smooth, vocal-like warmth with sweet, singing highs and a dynamic midrange that responds beautifully to your touch. Clean tones are lush and round; roll up the gain and it blossoms into thick, creamy sustain perfect for blues, jazz, or soaring leads.

•  The bridge pickup brings the heat — punchy, articulate attack with just the right amount of growl and harmonic complexity. It cuts through a mix with authority while retaining that vintage PAF openness and airiness. Think rich, woody overdrive that feels alive and organic, not sterile or compressed.

Together, they produce incredible tone: massive sustain, excellent note separation, and that elusive “woodsy” resonance that makes a great Les Paul-style guitar addictive to play. Chords ring with authority, single notes bloom and sing — it’s the kind of guitar that makes you want to keep playing long after the gig ends.

This 1983 LS-100 has been professionally set up and dialed in for optimal playability and tone. Low, comfortable action, spot-on intonation, and everything working perfectly. The mahogany neck feels broken-in and inviting, the rosewood board is smooth, and the whole instrument is light and resonant.

If you’re chasing that perfect blend of vintage vibe, killer looks, and real-deal playable tone without the modern repro price tag, this is your guitar. It’s imperfect in all the right ways — worn, loved, and ready for its next chapter.

Serious players only. This one has soul.

Our Guarantee

We stand behind every guitar we sell. “Good enough” is never good enough. Every instrument is inspected, set up, and tested by multiple people immediately before shipping. We deliver the highest standard of quality and have built a reputation as a three-time NAMM Top 100 Dealer since 2009. The Dude Abides.

Neck & Setup - (unless otherwise noted)

- Neck is perfectly straight with no truss-rod issues.

- Intonation is spot-on.

- Professionally set up with low action and new American-made strings.

- All frets are dressed, leveled, crowned (if needed), and all frets on all guitars are polished to shine like new with no divots.

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy

We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:

- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.

- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.

- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.

We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.

Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.

We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.

Payment, Shipping & International Duties

- All items can be shipped internationally. Buyer is fully responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees.

- We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Affirm, and other major payment methods.

- Most U.S. shipments are sent via UPS or FedEx with full insurance, tracking, and signature confirmation. All packages are professionally packed for maximum protection.
